Beautiful Bali-Final

Hello there. It sure seems like forever since i last wrote an entry.Ok, let me start by finishing up my Bali story before i totally lost it..oh swell, i've actually lost my travel book, the one i wrote all the details..hmm, i guess we have to depend on the photos & memories :P

Lets start..day 3.To start the day, we took a stroll down the road to the Legian beach. The beach was near the hotel, merely a 10 minutes walk but to our dismay, the beach was rather..how should i put this..."untidy"..and there were dogs everywhere.i had to practically rolled up my pajama pants and really pay attention on the road to avoid that 'thing' that the dogs left..oh, did i mentioned that the locals bathed their dogs at the beach..dah..xda harapan nak main air..

Later that morning, we met Yanto and start our new exploration.First stop, coffee testing at Kintamani. Despite that i was a little bit off because we havent got any chance to duck in the sea water, Kintamani proves to be not bad either.

coffee testing..FOC

coffee cocoa tree

It was actually great. The hill view was really nice. The coffee was really good, well at least according to him it was.I opted for hot chocolate instead, not that i don't want to try but i've consumed enough caffeine the last few days.We did not try the Luwak coffee..not in our lifetime kot..try google Luwak coffee to know what it is :P

From Kintamani, we're off to Mount Batur..Its an active volcano and across the river is Desa Trunyan, the 'holy' place where the Balinese lay their the love ones to rest (forever) without having to bury them & they say that the jenazah xmembusuk walau xditanam because there, "there's this big tree who'll absorb the bad smell"..Haa...even if you pay me kazillions, i will still not go  there..terima kasih :P

Mount Batur.Look closely.. notice that the ground have 2 colors? The darker one was the one ground that was once flooded with lava when the volcano erupted..

Desa Truyan.Sorry its a bit blur.I had a rough time adjusting the long lense.Tangan xlarat nak pikul thus making it shaky & blur. You need to pay some sum to get there (by boat/sampan) but make sure you make the going back arrangement clearly and really be careful with the beggars there.

Next stop, Tegallalang..well, if you were skeptic like me..you'll probably think it was a waste of time.I mean, Tegallalang a paddy field, eh silap..paddy hills which is really nothing actually.Malaysia pun ada but boy was i wrong..cantik amat view dia, not to mention the country side that we passed by to get there..serius..serius..serius cantik..

We had our lunch at Teras Padi Restaurant (halal) & we were absolutely famished. Having vegetarian breakfast is definitely not for us. View yang cantik & makanan yang sedap..kekeke..operasi mari menggemuk in progress..

his food ..kari ayam

my food..fettuchini carbonara..
gosh, i should have been indulging in local delicacies but i just couldn't help myself..carbonara?yumm..

After lunch, i was a bit drowsy. The full stomach, the heat outside contradicting the cold air conditioner inside the car..the car seat was meant for me to dose off the whole way back..

Yanto brought us to a mosque i cannot remember where but it was near Seminyak Beach i think.its actually good to have a muslim guide along since they could show you which halal places to eat & where to pray..If i found my notebook, i'll post Yanto's email address & contact number in case anybody need a guide there at Bali, just dont forget to mention my name to him (hahaha..as if dapat diskaun :P)

Seminyak Beach

To end the day, we asked Yanto to stop at Krishna. This is our place to shop. Not that its that good but at least here we don't have to crack our head bargaining with sellers.Soon after, we had our dinner at Plenkung Restaurant at Kuta.Back to hotel at 9 pm, freshen up & went down at the lobby to catch some movies at HBO (yelah, dalam bilik xda tv dong..) :P

end of day 3.okay, are you up with some more stories?...ahh..i'm feeling tired too but if i stop here, it will be like another decade before the next entry.sabar ya...sikit lagi... ;D

Day 4.Oh, this is going to be short. Its beach day..finally!Our initial plan was to dive at Tulamben (a shipwrecked site) that was perfect for beginner diver but somehow we did not manage to do so.I guess maybe next time.So here's the list of beach that we went:

1. Tanjung Benoa-for water enthusiast, here's the place to go.Semua aneka water sports ada.Parents, from here you could hop on a boat to Turtle Island, a place where kids will surely love (or so they say :P).I was adamant to ride on the glass bottom boat that i've actually regret the act at the end of the day for 2 reasons. One, we were cheated by the 'agent'.Initially he said it was Rp 200,000 for an hour ride but turn out, it was less than half an hour & we had to give him another Rp 50,000 (buat anak2 katanya..shesh..)No two, the 'taman laut' was not even half of what we imagined. The coral was badly damage and there were hardly any fish.I don't even understand why they called it the Marine Park..Sabah was far (very3 far) better...

 pakcik boat..

 the boat
hardly any fish

2.Nusa Dua-this place is rather nice, despite the heat.My 18-55mm lens broke down there.Mujur ada backup lens.Up until now, i havent sent it for repair,sigh..ops, enough about me..enjoy the picture.. :D

3.Dreamland-surfer's paradise.Nice.Enough said ;D

4.Bluepoint- by far, this is the most beautiful beach i've visited here.Out of 10, i'll give it an 11.Here is where Julia Robert's shot her latest movie..Eat,Pray,Love.Next time panjang umur, if i ever step foot in Bali again, i definitely know which beach to head..

5.Last but not least..Uluwatu..a must visit place..had out last sunset view at Bali here..

I guess that's wrapped up my story here.Oh ya, in between the trip to the beach, we stopped by at Kuta trying to finish up the rupiah we had left before heading back the next day..Next trip, maybe we'll focus more on Kuta & diving.. :D Till then, salam lebaran everybody.. :D
